Promoting French Language ServicesThe McGuinty Government Supports The Assemblée de la francophonie de l'OntarioNEWS The Assemblée de la francophonie de l'Ontario (AFO) will design and implement a campaign to promote French-language services in Ontario with help from the provincial government. This campaign will promote the delivery of quality services in French by the government and community organizations and also encourage French-speaking Ontarians to request and use these services. Ontario is providing $100,000 for the project. The Assemblée will set up a working group of representatives from key organizations within Ontario's Francophonie in order to define community needs and develop the approach and objectives of the promotion campaign. The Office of Francophone Affairs and the Assemblée will unveil the details of the promotion campaign in the fall of 2008. QUOTES "The French Language Services Act guarantees Francophones in Ontario access to government services in their language. It is our goal to ensure that people benefit from these services in their daily lives," said Madeleine Meilleur, Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs.
