Office of the French Language Services Commissioner

Since its creation in 2007, the Office of the French Language Services Commissioner ensures that the public receives high-quality French-language services from the Government of Ontario.

To do this, the Commissioner leads independent investigations, either in response to complaints from the public or on his own initiative, to determine whether the quality of French-language services within the government's ministries and agencies is satisfactory.

The Commissioner reports directly to the Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs. He advises and makes recommendations to her with respect to the application of the French Language Services Act. You may consult his annual reports and other publications.
